Top IT Companies To Work For In 2015

This year’s list marks Fortune's 18th year of partnering with Great Place to Work. Google ranks No.1 for the sixth time.

1.GOOGLE
 
The tech giant celebrates its sixth year at No. 1 and recently bolstered its parental leave benefits. New parents, regardless of gender (including dads, domestic partners, adoptive parents, and surrogate parents), can now get up to twelve weeks of fully paid baby bonding time. Google also provides $500 of “Baby Bonding Bucks” to all new parents to use during the first three months of their child’s life.

2. Ultimate Software
 
 It pays to be with a company whose business is thriving. Revenue was up 23% in 2014, enabling the company to hire 423 new employees last year. All new employees receive restricted stock, which is up more than 1000% from the end of 2008, trading as high as $168.88 in February. Ultimate also pays 100% of healthcare & dental premiums for both employees and their families.

3.TWITTER 
 
 New Tweeps spend their first week in “Flight School” at the social media network’s San Francisco headquarters. Among other orientation topics, they learn about their intranet, Birdhouse, that lets employees send a shout-out Tweet to other employees. The shout-out includes the recipient’s picture and why they are being recognized. Employees average one Birdhouse shout-out every minute during the work week.

Silicon Valley-based firm that provides cloud infrastructure and makes virtualization software recognizes standout employees as "Fellows" and gives an $800,000 endowment in their names to a university of their choice for computer science education. To date, the firm has donated $4 million to Stanford University, the University of California at Berkeley, Northern Arizona University and Scripps College on behalf of VMware Fellows. That's not the only way VMware combines recognition and philanthropy: employees earning an award for exemplifying the firm's values get a monetary bonus and the firm gives $3,141.59 (Pi) to a charity of the employee's choice.
